It was a fine Sunday evening when I was driving on a very familiar road.A road so familiar that I can exactly locate all the roadside shops and can even notice those otherwise unnoticeable changes - be it even the placing of a new signboard or anything.I've spent so much time of my life travelling through that road that if I have to paint it, I would just close my eyes and my inspiration is there.
While driving on that road a place very sacred had come, so I looked at both of the wing mirrors and the rear view mirror.I slowed down my car and looking at left side of the road.I bowed down my head and closed my eyes(closing eyes while driving is risky , I know!).That is the most respected place of worship for me.That was a temple of a singular religion that was not Hinduism,Sikhism,Buddhism or any other religion that people generally pray to.People do not fight in the name of that religion, rather people of all religions preach what is written in its sacred books.The sacred temple that I bowed my head in front of, is my school.The religion is knowledge, and that road obviously led to my school.
Whatever I said about my school was not a kind of metaphor, exaggeration,hyperbole or any other figure of speech.Schools and colleges are the temples of learning.The best part is no God or religion opposes it.Their may be some friction between science and religion but never between knowledge and religion, as knowledge is a broader term.
Knowledge is what makes all of us different.If one cannot compare and regard one's institution of learning as a sacred place then that person is a burden on this planet and should be wiped out or terminated publicly just to preserve the sanctity of knowledge.But however this is to our own advantage by not terminating them.We(who worship our institutions) are more inspired and thus have a better chance of perseverance and survival in this cruel world!So Jai ho! to my school...
